Knitwear Buying Manager Menswear

For a leading international menswear brand, I am looking for an experienced Knitwear Buying Manager who combines strong product expertise with proven leadership skills.

This is a pivotal position with significant responsibility, managing both the product category and a buying team. I’m looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys balancing strategy, people management and execution.

What I’m looking for:

✔ Approximately 8+ years of experience within buying, sourcing, product development or production

✔ Strong expertise within knitwear and a deep understanding of product, quality, costing and supplier management

✔ At least 5 years of leadership experience

✔ Experience managing and developing teams

✔ Comfortable leading a team consisting of junior buyers, a senior buyer and interns

✔ Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

✔ Commercially minded while maintaining a strong focus on product and profitability

✔ A hands-on mentality and willingness to stay close to the day-to-day operation

Unlike larger organisations with separate sourcing offices abroad, this role requires someone who is closely involved in the entire process. You understand the product, know the supply chain and enjoy taking ownership from development through production follow-up.

Candidates coming from importers, sourcing organisations, retailers or fashion brands are all welcome, provided they bring strong product knowledge and leadership capabilities.

Strong preference for candidates already residing in the Netherlands or holding a valid Dutch work permit
