Exploring the Future of Fashion — In Collaboration with Europe’s Leading Universities

At Studio Vegter, we believe that shaping the future of fashion requires looking both forward and back—combining heritage with innovation, theory with practice.

We’re proud to announce our active participation in a groundbreaking research initiative alongside seven universities from across Europe, aimed at exploring both historical fashion pathways and emerging directions in the industry. This project brings together academics, researchers, and creative professionals to better understand how fashion evolves—and how we can shape it more consciously and creatively.

Since our founding nine years ago, Studio Vegter has remained rooted in its core mission: connecting people, industries, and knowledge. While our passion for Fashion & Design recruitment and building meaningful professional connections has always been at the heart of what we do, founder Susanne Vegter envisioned something broader from the very start: a role of intermediation—bridging the gap between the creative industries and academic insight.

In this project, Studio Vegter contributes not only through its deep-rooted industry knowledge, but also by providing access to real-world insights, networks, and expert connections. By linking academia with practice, we help ground research in the realities of the creative sector, and ensure new ideas are fuelled by practical relevance and industry context.

Together, we are helping to generate valuable insights that will inform future design, education, sustainability, and innovation in the fashion world.

We see this as an important step in reinventing fashion’s future—one informed by its past, powered by collaboration, and driven by curiosity.

Let’s build this future together.
